Our client operates globally. currently our client is looking for an experienced Global Director Internal Audit who is willing to travel frequently 50%. The Global Director Internal Audit is responsible for developing group-wide guidelines, policies and procedures and advise the board and management on Internal Audit issues in line with the corporate strategy.

The Global Director Internal Audit is responsible for the company’s global Internal Audit department. He/she updates, implements and monitors the global audit strategy, policies and tools in line with developments in Corporate Strategy and identified risk-areas. He/she is responsible for updating and implementing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Strategy and ERM policy and procedures and translating the outcome into practical to the point areas of attention for the Executive Board.

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in areas such as auditing, project management, industry experience, supply chain and change management.

• Minimum of 6 of the 15 years experience requirement will have been spent managing departmental or functional level staff.

• Bachelor's/ Master degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, business administration, computer science, engineering or in a life science related area.

• An advanced certification (i.e., RA, CPA is desired.)

• Understanding of financial, compliance and operational internal controls as well as an understanding of the “business side” of running a capital intensive company.

• Affinity with logistic processes and Value drivers analysis concepts.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent and insightful analytical skills; ability to be decisive; build teams; provides leadership and excellent business acumen (knowledge of business drivers, finding solutions and knowledge of accounting, finance and other business areas).

• Excellent situational leadership skills with good understanding of applying “form over substance” and “substance over form” concepts in the right situations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point.
